Week 2: Jasuta

American Apparel's website needs user interaction. Especially in conveying their marketing message in their advertising and specials banners.

The site provides various ways to wear their basic styles at the top of every page, no matter how deep you click into the site. You can even choose to view all styles in the different ways the garment can be worn. The site is conveniently organized by style types ("basic tees" or "dresses" or "jumpers" etc), and new specials are readily accessible based on the banners and advertisements.

I think the American Apparel website is very modern. It's design is sleek, and simplistic. The target audience would be individuals who define themselves based on the ability to pair together these basic pieces that American Apparel sells in order to create a unique look that's different for everyone. Based on the website and the array of options, colors, and styles. I think American Apparel takes its basic designs and takes them beyond a simple tshirt and into an individualized and unique fashion statement. The website exemplifies this message that the company portrays.
