Week Two Maxwell

The site I chose was the Saatchi&Saatchi webpage because when I read this assignment it was the first site I thought of. When you go to this site it looks very clean and artistic and you navigate from a single drop down box. If you want to take a look at the work they've done you go into the "Ideas Gallery". That was something I found very unique about this agency that they care enough to call their advertisements "ideas". I think it demonstates to the visitor of the site that the company has some showmanship about themselves and that they respect their craft. It's not just any ol' ad, it's an idea that they develope. Inside the ideas gallery, different ads from different campaigns are displayed on long white rectugular colums that showcase the ad in an artsy fashion. The way to look at each ad is to scroll through rotating from one to the next and the white colums are so cleverly designed as to give the Ideas Gallery a very "scrapbook" feel. The typeface used for the page is an artsy sans serif, the grey and white focuses all of the attention on the ads being displayed.

I love the Saatchi site and recommend that you take a look, it's very interactive and gives good info about the company.

  1. Great look at this, Kiese. It's also a very specialised audience with the target being potential clients (or advertising students/professionals/enthusiasts).

I hope that Saatchi continues to have great ideas when it comes to Toyota campaigns. May the gas pedal on their creativity never unstick.

    Too soon?
