Week 2/ Staponkute

I chose this site because it is easy to use and it is very popular all over the world. This site allows clients to sell or to buy goods by only clicking the computer mouse.

It is also easy for customer to search the things he/she is looking for. For this purpose, search space is the most important thing. It can show you the images of anything you might look for. Next to the image, you would get a detail desrpition of the quality and other features you would lke to know. This site is designed very simply so that clients could easily find what they look for. There are also categories of things you might want, therefore the search becomes easier for you.

Our media today is very oriented to the consumers. They will do everything to get people's attention. Visual means help the most. Media will try to put details somewhere deeper and grab attention by colorful ads, their created tabs to different links. Personally, I think it is good to have less complication in overall view because sometimes among all the news you see you lose patience in looking for something or just get lost. Simplicity is the best thing that should be considered in creating (in this case) web site.

  1. Ieva,

Good commentary on media culture. Would have liked to have seen more explanation on how the site's design functions in terms of usability - what are the services? where are they placed? how does that help/hinder user interface/user needs?

Oy vey! You missed deadline this week. Is everything ok?
