Week 10 | Mariotti

The New York Times website is a good example of grid design. The grids are separated by lines that are not connected. The design follows these boundaries, it doesn't go outside of the grids set in place. The grid aid the reader in that they separate information so that the reader sees them individually. If the grids weren't in place, it would be hard to discern each set of information. The design is clear and clean, which is appropriate for a newspaper. There isn't any tension in this design because of how clean the divisions are.
