Week Eleven | Picini

Here's my late post because I missed it. One of my all-time favorite sites is Grooveshark because you can listen to any music you want online for free and organize it into playlists that save to your account, so anywhere you have internet you can have your music on the computer. I think the site is really easy to navigate. Down the left side there is a bar of basic options, like in iTunes, Home, My Library, etc. Below that is the list of playlists you make to organize your music. The majority of the screen is taken up by whatever is selected in the left bar, so it can be either the songs you have already or songs you are searching. Across the bottom the currently playing songs are lined up, with repeat, volume and shuffle buttons along with a Radio option, which basically does what Pandora does. I think it's brilliant to set it up so the music playing is listed across the bottom and the site can be navigated without it stopping and so you can still see what's playing/coming next. In the top left hand corner there's a search box and the top of the middle section of the page has sorting options to organize songs you've looked up when multiple results come up. The navigation of the site is very self-explanatory, and makes it possible to look up music while listening to something different. Brilliant.
